Tests to reveal if deadly E coli originated on German farm

Results of tests due later are expected to reveal whether the origin of the recent outbreak of E coli, which has killed 22 people, was a farm in Germany.
According to preliminary examinations, bean sprouts from a farm in the Uelzen area, between the northern cities of Hamburg and Hannover, could be traced to infections in five German states.
Lower Saxony agriculture minister Gert Lindemann said there were more and more indications...that put the focus on the farm.
The new lead on the outbreak comes with the death roll in Europe reaching 22.
Meanwhile, Germany's health minister has admitted that his country was struggling to cope with the number of people suffering from E. coli.
He said the government wanted to discuss with doctors about whether those doctors who recently retired could be reactivated.
