Home Minister P ChidambaramNational Democratic Alliance (NDA) has decided not to allow home minister P Chidambaram to speak in parliament today, according to BJP leader SS Ahluwalia who spoke to reporters yesterday.

NDA would boycott Chidambaram until he was forced to quit by the prime minister. Earlier in the day, NDA leaders met  to chalk out their strategy for the winter session of parliament starting tomorrow.

The move comes amid pressure from the opposition on the government to publicly disclose the names of account holders given to the government by HSBC Bank, Switzerland.

There is speculation that the list contains names of some MPs.

In addition to slush funds stashed abroad, the opposition will also try to corner the government on the issue of price rise, corruption and various scams.

The winter session of parliament is expected to be tumultuous as sources from the BJP say attempts would be made to coordinate the strategy with other opposition parties.

According to Communist Party of India leader AB Bardhan, the left parties would move an adjournment motion on price rise.
