A division bench of the Andhra Pradesh High Court comprising acting chief justice Ghulam Mohammed and justice Nooty Ramamohana Rao directed the CBI, Enforcement Directorate and SEBI today to investigate the allegations against former chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu and submit a report within three months in a sealed cover.

The bench's directions came while admitting a writ petition filed by YS Vijayamma, wife of late YS Rajasekhara Reddy. She has alleged that Naidu acting in concert with  media group owner Ramoji Rao defrauded the state ex-chequer and a probe needed to be conducted in the matter.

The bench said, ''We are of the opinion that petitioner made out a case of misuse and/or abuse of power and also actions of indulgence by respondent No. 8 (Chandrababu Naidu) warranting admission of the writ petition''.

According to Vijayamma the TDP president had amassed wealth through misuse of power with Rao acting as a conduit.

The investigating agencies have been directed by the bench to submit reports within three months so that the court could further consider the matter.

"Several individuals have conspired with Chandrababu Naidu to subvert the system by causing pecuniary advantage to themselves and draining the state's exchequer. Offences of cheating, criminal breach of trust, corruption, money laundering and several others are made out against them," Vijaya prayed in the petition.
