A Delhi court yesterday issued fresh non-bailable warrant (NBW) against Maharashtra Navnirman Sena chief Raj Thackeray along with summonses against him and Shiv Sena leaders Bal Thackeray and Uddhav Thackeray on several complaints for their alleged remarks against Biharis.

Additional chief metropolitan magistrate (ACMM) Manish Yaduvanshi issued the NBW against Raj Thackeray and ordered its execution by 17 November following his failure to appear before him in response to the 31 August summons and sought exemption from personal appearance instead.

Fresh summons were also issued against him in two other cases transferred to the capital from Bihar and Jharkhand by the Supreme Court.

Fresh summonses were also issued against Bal Thackeray and Shiv Sena executive president Uddhav Thackeray for their alleged remarks against Bihari immigrants that they be thrown out of Maharashtra.

The summonses were issued over a complaint, that was transferred to Delhi from Begusarai in Bihar. One Ram Lochan Sharma had lodged the complaint under various provisions of the India Penal Code that related to creation of public mischief, causing intentional insult, printing defamatory material and promotion of enmity between different communities.

He had also said that material has also been published against north Indians in the party mouthpiece Samna.
