Abraham Thomas, COO of Red FM, is parting ways with the radio channel. The radio professional has reportedly put in his papers and is serving his notice period.

Talking about his future course of action, Thomas, popularly known as Abe in the industry, said that for now, he's taking a short break, following which he will evaluate a few options for his next career move.

Thomas has been associated with the radio station since its pre-launch days, from March 2005. Armed with more than 17 years of experience, he has also worked with print and television companies.

Thomas started his career with The Indian Express and left the company as the all-India head of ad sales. Later, he moved to the television industry and was with Sony Entertainment Network as Director-Sales for SET, MAX and AXN channels. He then joined MTV Networks, where he was the head of the revenue function for MTV, Nickelodeon (now Nick) and Vh1.

Red FM and Sun TV Networks' radio station, S FM had merged in August this year, as a result of which S FM was re-branded as Red FM. All 38 stations of S FM, comprising 23 stations of South Asia FM, 14 stations of Kal Radio and one station of Udaya FM, had undergone a change in identity. The re-branded Red FM now has a total strength of 41 stations, with a pan-India presence.
