Space TV yields ground to Tata Sky

Mumbai: The Tata-Star DTH venture, called Space TV has been re-christened Tata Sky Ltd. This was announced by the company today. The DTH service will be marketed under the new brand name Tata Sky pan India.

The company's announcement of signing an agreement with the Indian Space Research Organisation's marketing arm, Antrix Corporation to lease all 12 ku-band transponders on the INSAT 4A satellite, will be used by Tata Sky to provide its DTH services to viewers all across India, including the remotet interiors of the country.
