Dr. K K Jajodia is chairman of Assam Oil & Natural Gas, Lord Inchcape joins as director

Kolkata: Dr K K Jajodia, chairman, Duncan Macneill group and chairman, Assam Company, has joined the Board of Assam Oil & Natural Gas Limited as the chairman. Dr Jajodia is also the chairman (international affairs) of the Times Foundation (The Times of India Group).

Lord Peter Inchcape of the UK, has joined as director.

The family business empire of the current Earl of Inchcape, Lord Peter Inchcape, had a very dominant presence in the former British India in diversified industrial ventures contributing nearly 13 per cent of the GNP of India. The pioneering group was also responsible for the discovery of the first oil field in India (Digboi in Assam) in 1889, which resulted in the setting up of the Digboi Refinery, the first refinery of Asia and the second oldest refinery in the World.
