GST revenue collection for September totals Rs91,916 crore

Gross GST revenue collected in of September 2019 stands at Rs91,916 crore, showing a 2.67 per cent decline from the GST revenue collection in September 2018.

Total GST collection comprises CGST of Rs16,630 crore, SGST of Rs22,598 crore, IGST of Rs45,069 crore (including Rs22,097 crore collected on imports) and Cess of Rs7,620 crore (including Rs728 crore collected on imports). 
The total number of GST returns (ie, GSTR 3B Returns) filed for the month of August up to 30 September 2019 totalled 7.59 million.
The government has transferred Rs21,131 crore to CGST and Rs15,121 crore to SGST from IGST as regular settlement. Total revenue earned by the central and the state governments after regular settlement in September 2019 is Rs37,761 crore for CGST and Rs37,719 crore for SGST.
GST revenue during September 2019 declined by 2.67 per cent in comparison with the revenue during September 2018. During April-September 2019 vis-à-vis 2018, the domestic component has grown by 7.82 per cent while the GST on imports has shown negative growth and the total collection has grown by 4.90 per cent.
