Syndicate Bank cuts home loan rates

Bangalore: Syndicate Bank has dropped the interest rate on its housing loans to 11.25 per cent for loans below Rs 10 lakh. A bank release said for loans above Rs 10 lakh, the interest will be 11.75 per cent.

In addition, the bank is offering floating rate loans linked to the banks prime lending rates of 12 per cent. The bank is offering a 0.5-per cent rebate for the prompt payment of instalments. This, the release said, will make its lending rates the lowest in the industry.
