Personal segment to fetch SBI Rs 450 crore

Out of the
projected total advances of Rs 984 crore in Karnataka, State Bank
of India (SBI) expects over Rs 450 crore to come from the personal
segment, mostly from housing loans.

would be a 17-per cent growth over the aggregate advances level of
Rs 5,750 crore, says SBI chief general manager (Bangalore circle)
Mythili Rangarajan. "Though the business climate is expected
to improve, it will take a while for the improved sentiment to
translate into investments."
The personal loan segment, led by housing loans, apart from car loans and educational loans, would account for a significant chunk of the focus for the coming year, she said. "The housing finance initiative launched last year will receive greater focus this year."

In Karnataka, over 27,500 Kisan Credit Cards are proposed to be issued in the current year, taking the total to over 62,000 cards issued, while there will be an increased focus on the newly-launched gold cards.
