Swimwear and water sports acessories maker Speedo says it has become the first swimwear manufacturer to remove all plastic packaging from across its entire eyewear range and replace PVC with environmentally friendly EVA packaging in its headwear range.

Eliminating the equivalent of a 747 jumbo jet, over 346 tons of plastic and PVC has been replaced with environmentally friendly materials.

Using materials made from corn fibre, a renewable resource, the Wellbeing collection offers environmentally conscious women style and freedom of movement in both swimwear and apparel.

Available within the goggle range that includes its competition racing and fitness training goggles is a free reusable pouch partly constructed from mesh and Speedo swimwear fabric off-cuts.

With over 200 goggle variations, the eyewear collection has been split into five distinct categories making it even easier to identify the right goggle for users for competition racing, fitness training, active essentials, for young users in the 6-14 years age group and a range for children between 2 and 6 years.

This range is priced at Rs399 to 799.

This collection is available at all Planet Sports Stores, the country's largest multi-brand sports lifestyle retail chain with over 57 specialty stores and presence across Pantaloon, Central and Brand Factory in the country, spread across over 40 cities.

Speedo has an exclusive marketing tie-up with Planet Sports for its product categories retailing and marketing support in India.
