India set to give Bangladesh details of Burdwan blast suspects

India's home ministry is preparing to hand over a report to Bangladesh with details of 58 terror modules that have been found in West Bengal by the National Investigation Agency after the Burdwan blast on 2 October in which two suspected terrorists were killed.
According to local reports in Bangladesh, the report would include details pointing to plans by the Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) to kill the two top political leaders of Bangladesh, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Bangladesh National Party (BNP) supremo Khaleda Zia, as well as another former prime minister.
The Indian home ministry is in the final stages of collating the inputs it has received from the NIA and intelligence agencies like the Research & Analytics Wing (RAW) and the Intelligence Bureau (IB), said a Bangladesh news report
The report added that the ministry was taking time as fresh details were surfacing almost every day.
On Monday, National Security Adviser Ajit Doval, along with the chiefs of the National Security Guard and the IB, visited Burdwan where the blast took place and also met West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.
The Trinamool Congress government in the state had expressed reservations over the NIA's involvement in the blast probe, saying it was a deliberate attempt by the Centre to violate India's federal functioning by intervening into state subjects.
But the Indian home ministry said the matter did not remain a mere law and order issue as it involved the security of both India and Bangladesh.
