Akai launches triple SIM GSM phone in India

Japanese consumer electronics brand, Akai has launched a triple SIM multimedia phone, Trio, priced at Rs3,295.

The triple SIM (GSM+GSM+GSM) Trio comes with a 2'' TFT screen, 1.3 mega pixel camera with digital zoom, dual language support, audio player with equalizer, FM Radio, Bluetooth (A2DP), expandable memory up to 8GB and other features.

The phone, packed 1100 mAh battery, provides a talk time of 5 hrs and standby up to 400 hrs. 

''AKAI is the first multi-national brand to be introducing a complete GSM mobile phone based on triple SIM platform.

This concept has been ideated keeping in mind the conventional user who wants the utility of multiple connections without getting burdened with multiple handsets,'' said Pranay Dhabhai, managing director, Akai India.

It will be available across 15,000 retail outlets around India and comes with a one year warranty.
