Internet search engine giant Google on Tuesday introduced a service that aids advertisers in figuring out websites their customers may be inclined to visit. The Google Ad Planner allows advertisers to enter demographics they wish to target and offers a list of websites in response that are likely to appeal to people with those characteristics.

"We hope you'll find this tool useful and discover many relevant sites, small and large, that would otherwise be hard to find," the Internet search king said on its website.

"You can drill down further to get more detail like demographics and related searches for a particular site, or you can get aggregate statistics for the sites you've added to your media plan."

The service is currently in a private test phase.

The service has been offered just a week after the launch of the "Google Trends for Websites" feature that allows surfers to rank the popularity of websites.
