Pune: The University has installed Wi-Fi Technology that permits users to access the internet either through laptops or palmtops anywhere on its over 400 acre campus. The installation is at a cost of Rs 70 lakhs

Considering that laptops are too expensive for most students, officials are trying to make the technology more accessible to the roughly 10,000 students here.

Wi-Fi Technology is quite popular in the developed world and is slowly catching on in India too.
