Vysya Banks global online deposit system

Bangalore: Vysya Bank Ltd has announced the launch of Maestro, the global online PIN-based deposit access programme with MasterCard International. Vysya Bank Maestro debit cards with the brand name Sambandh will be acceptable at all Maestro acceptance locations in India and abroad.

The bank is also coming up with an Internet-banking product, Mi@-bank, and an in-house call-centre in the near future.

Says Vysya Bank deputy managing director Bart Hellemans: Our Internet-banking product will be launched by mid-June 2002. We are also planning to increase ATMs from 17 to 50 by the end of this year and are also looking at introducing an electronic bill payment system. Vysya Bank executive vice-president and head-retail banking Robin Roy says Vysya debit cardholders will have access to cash globally through the MasterCard Maestro.
