Mumbai: Andhra Bank plans to sell insurance products under a tie-up arrangement with United India Insurance Company.

Andhra Bank CMD B Vasanthan said the tie-up would be given a shape once the Insurance Regulatory Development Authority finalises the criteria and guidelines for this sector.

Public sector banks and insurance companies, he said, would have to adopt aggressive business strategies to face competition from the private sector.
