A recent video released by the Islamic State (ISIS) terror group, shows an Indian student from Andhra Pradesh, studying engineering in Texas, USA, threatening terror attacks against India.

A report in the Deccan Chronicle said the student's identity has been established and the incident clearly highlights the threat that ISIS poses to India.

The incident highlights the ISIS has been able to successfully recruit and radicalise Indians in the United States, something that raises fears that ISIS is using student visas to circumvent immigration problems.

The ISIS video also showed missing Batla House encounter suspects Mohamed Sajid and Abu Rashid appear as Indian 'Jihadists'

ISIS released the 22-minute video on 19 May and intelligence agencies, including the National Investigation Agency (NIA), are currently investigating the video.

The video features  Mohd Sajid alias Bada Sajid, Farooq Al Hindi alias Abu Rashid (both from Azamgarh, UP), Abu Salha al Hindi, Fahad Sheikh alias Abu Ammar al Hindi (from Kalyan, Maharashra), and Aman Tandel alias Abu Salman al Hindi and Shaheem Tanki (from Thane), the newspaper reported.

On Friday, MoS Home Affairs Kiren Rijiu said that the government was taking the ISIS propaganda video ''very seriously'' and will deal with it in a proper manner.

The video in Arabic says 'Jihadis' from 'Hind' wal 'Sindh' (India and Pakistan) "will soon take revenge" for the Babri Mosque demolition and the atrocities on Muslims in Kashmir during Muzaffarnagar riots. Since 2014, several Indians in the United States are believed to have joined ISIS.
