Vipul Thakkar joins Mudra South as executive creative director

Mudra South has brought on board Vipul Thakkar as executive creative director. Thakkar joins from Ogilvy Bengaluru, where he worked for more than two years as senior creative director. 

At Mudra, he replaces Joono Simon, who had recently quit to join Leo Burnett, Colombo as chief creative officer. He will report to Bobby Pawar, chief creative officer, Mudra Group. 

Thakkar will head the creative function at Mudra's southern outfits in Kochi, Chennai and Bengaluru. He will head the Amrutanjan, Peter England, Cycle Agarbatti, Ashok Leyland, Base Terminal Batteries and Jockey accounts at Mudra.

Thakkar has over 10 years of experience in the advertising industry. At Ogilvy, he worked on brands like Bingo, Titan, Allen Solly, MTR Foods and Vodafone among others.

He has also worked with Grey Worldwide, Bates 141 and DDB Egypt.
