SIOM to host annual management festival, Drishti ’09

Nashik-based management institute, Symbiosis Institute of Operations Management (SIOM), is rolling out its annual two-day inter business school fest, Drishti '09 on 16 and 17 February , 2009. 

This year the event is being sponsored by Bangalore-based electronic components and systems maker Epcos India, customised engineering design and engineering software firm, Hextech Engineers Pvt. Ltd., State Bank of Patiala, San Computek and Subway resteraunts.

The event also has a host of accomplished media partners including domain-b associated with it.

The event will be inaugurated by IIM-A alumnus Rashmi Bansal, author of the best seller Stay Hungry, Stay Foolish, who is also consulting editor of UTVi business news, aprt from being the founder and editor of JAM magazine.

The theme for Drishti this year is an ode to the beckoning future and in line with its theme, The Future is Here, Drishti '09 has two main event clusters. While The Axiom consists of the main events to be held on the two days, the other, V-play, encapsulates online events, which started on 4 February 09, are still on with large participation from B-schools all over the country.

SIOM has always emphasised close industry-institute relations. Competitions and intellect apart, Drishti has also been a platform for students to interact with the business world and gain insights into the nuances of running businesses successfully. This year, Drishti hopes to act as a catalyst for B-school students to gain insights into diverse areas of business and management.
