Zebronics launches touch-operated mouse, eyes growth with network expansion

Computers, consumer electronics and communication products and accessories provider, Top Notch Infotronix has launched a touch panel mouse under its Zebronics brand to cater to the new-age users, who are increasingly using touch-sensitive devices.
Named the ZebTouch, the mouse comes without any click buttons or scroll wheel, and is operated by moving ones fingers over the surface.
The also announced its foray into the power strip vertical with the introduction of the Zebronics platinum series, built using 100 per cent copper, at the ongoing Compass IT 2011 Expo in Kolkata.
Zebronics' product portfolio consists of designer-style cabinets, mouse and keyboards, gaming accessories, web-cameras, multi-media speakers and headphones, music and video players.
Besides the new product innovations, the company also said it will be increasing its service network to 100 centers from the present 62 across the country in 2011 to engage with users and drive sales.
The centres will be in a mix of company-owned and authorised service partner (ASP) models, the company said.
Speaking about the company's business plans, Rajesh Doshi, director, Zebronics, said, ''In terms of volumes we aim to grow by about 30 per cent. To facilitate this we plan to expand our retail reach to cover more geographies and also partner organised retailers with presence in high-footfall market areas.''
Established in 1997, Chennai-headquartered Top Notch Infotronix provides a range of computer peripherals, gaming devices and media players under the brand name Zebronics.
The company employs over 500 people and operates through a network of about 8,000 channel partners throughout the country.
