MSI launches WindPad 100W tablet PC

Laptop manufacturer, Micro Star International (MSI) has entered  the tablet computer market with the launch of the WindPad 100W tablet PC, priced at Rs34,990.

The Indian tablet market already consists of Samsung Galaxy Tab, Olive Pad and the iPad, which was launched on Friday.

WindPad 100W runs on the Intel mobile platform processor, and comes with a 10.1-inch multipoint touch screen, 32GB HDD, dual cameras, G-Sensor gravity detecting device and an ALS light sensor.

The tablet device comes with MSI's face recognition software that uses biometric technology to provide data security and offers more than six hours of battery life, the company said in a statement.

MSI WindPad 100W will be available in India exclusively at e-Zone outlets across Mumbai initially.

Founded in August 1986, MSI designs and manufactures mainboards, graphic cards and notebooks. MSI Computer India Pvt. Ltd initiated its local presence as a licensed office in 2005 and has become a fully functional subsidiary in 2007.
