Infotech commences operations at Vizag SEZ

Engineering services and technology solutions provider Infotech Enterprises Limited today said it has commenced operations from its new SEZ facility at the Rushikonda IT Park in Visakhapatnam.

"We are happy to set up a development centre in Visakhapatnam, our first in an SEZ," BVR Mohan Reddy, chairman and managing director, Infotech Enterprises Limited, said at the inauguration of the facility.

"As part of our strategy to expand our operations in tier-II cities, Vizag came as the obvious choice due to availability of high skilled resources, its infrastructure and lower cost base compared to tier-I cities."
 
The new centre at Rushikonda will work on delivering engineering services and solutions to Infotech's customers in the offshore and marine segments, including engineering of semi-submersible rigs, jack-up rigs, drill ships, bulk carriers, construction support vessels, pipe lay barges, offshore supply vessels, dredgers and others.

The engineering support will encompass all functional areas such as naval architecture, structural, mechanical, electrical and instrumentation.
 
"This development centre will add a new dimension to our operations in India in providing high value services to our customers globally and at competitive rates," added Reddy.

Infotech currently operates five development centers in India - at Hyderabad (Madhapur and Manikonda), Bangalore, Noida, and Kakinada.

Infotech specialises in engineering services, geographic information services (GIS) and IT services.
