Amazon releases app to access Kindle books on BlackBerry

Amazon introduced the 'Kindle for BlackBerry' application last week for its users through which they can access over 4,20,000 Kindle books, browse and download samples and full books at the in-app store for an optimized Kindle shopping experience right on thier BlackBerry.
Ian Freed, vice president, Amazon Kindle, said, "Kindle for BlackBerry is a great way for customers to continue reading their current book wherever they are - in between meetings, at the grocery store or waiting in the doctor's office. Customers are going to love how easy and fun it is to read their Kindle books on their BlackBerry."
The application, available for free, uses Amazon's Whispersync technology, which saves and synchronizes a customer's bookmarks across their Kindle, Kindle DX, iPhone, iPod touch, PC and BlackBerry, so customers always have their reading material with them alongwith their bookmarks and annotations.
It also allows users to read the beginning of books for free before buying, access their library of previously purchased Kindle books, adjust the text size of books and read books in full color.
Kindle and Kindle DX are the revolutionary portable readers by Amazon that wirelessly download books, magazines, newspapers, blogs and personal documents to a crisp, high-resolution electronic ink display that looks and reads like real paper using Wi-Fi connection.
