BENGALURU — Wipro Ltd, India’s fourth-largest IT services exporter, reported better-than-expected third-quarter revenue on Friday, supported by steadier demand from key U.S. clients.

The company posted consolidated sales of ₹235.56 billion ($2.59 billion) for the quarter ended December 31, a 5.54% rise year-on-year. This beat the average analyst estimate of ₹233.91 billion compiled by LSEG data.

Americas drives growth

Wipro’s performance was supported by growth in a part of its Americas business that includes communications, health and consumer segments, indicating signs of resilience in client spending after several quarters of cautious discretionary budgets.

The results come as India’s IT sector closely tracks demand signals from North America, which remains the largest revenue contributor for most major outsourcing firms.

Market outlook

While the revenue beat provides near-term relief, investors remain focused on Wipro’s deal pipeline, margin trajectory and outlook commentary. The company is expected to discuss its AI strategy during the earnings call as Indian IT services firms accelerate adoption of generative AI tools to defend market share and improve productivity.
