Tata Power Solar Systems Limited has launched ‘Ghar Ghar Solar Tata Power ke Sang', an ambitious programme aimed at providing clean and sustainable energy solutions to every home in Uttar Pradesh.

The programme, being launched in Varanasi initially, would utilise the subsidy offered by the central government under the ‘PM Surya Ghar’ initiative. Households can avail of a maximum subsidy of Rs1,08,000, comprising central government subsidy of Rs78,000 and state government subsidy of a maximum Rs30,000 (Rs15,000 per kW) for rooftop solar installation of up to 3kW.

The scheme is expected to benefit nearly 10 lakh homes in the state. Tata Power Solar will be using energy efficient bifacial panels that absorb light on both sides and require less space.

Tata Power Solar also uses state-of-the-art solar power panels made in India in order to ensure superior performance and longevity of installation.

The company will utilise its technical prowess and extensive channel partnership to roll out the programme and substantially boost power availability in the region.

The roll-out of roof-top solar power modules will substantially increase energy availability in the region and help provide cheaper and cleaner power to consumers, while also contributing to green environment goals of the government.

Tata Power Solar offers to complete installation of rooftop solar modules within 7 days from inquiry, minimising downtime for customers.

The company plans to expand the ‘Ghar Ghar Solar Tata Power ke Sangh’ initiative to 300 cities , including 50 industrial and commercial centres, across 23 states.
