J&K Bank net profit up 55% to Rs 260 cr

New Delhi: Jammu and Kashmir Bank (J&K Bank) has registered a net profit of Rs 260 crore for the financial year ending 31 March 2002 a 55-per cent growth over the previous year. The total income of the bank increased by 39 per cent to Rs 1,610.86 crore. The credit portfolio of the bank grew by 35 per cent and deposits have increased by 16 per cent during the same period.

The net non-performing assets have reduced to 1.88 per cent against 2.45 per cent. The capital adequacy ratio of the bank stood at 14.76 per cent.

J&K Bank has achieved a business turnover of Rs 19,335 crore (Rs 15,931 crore). The capital and reserves of the bank have also witnessed an impressive growth, touching Rs 937 crore during the last financial year.
