Core sector industrial production in the country grew 4.3 per cent in September 2018, a tad higher compared to the 4.2 per cent growth recorded in August 2018.

Expansion of the key sector was slackened by a decline in crude oil and natural gas production and sluggish performance of industries in coal, steel, refinery products and natural gas production.
