Two Bangladeshis among 5 arrested for anti-CAA violence in Delhi's Seemapuri

The Crime Branch of Delhi Police today arrested five men, including two Bangladeshi nationals, for alleged involvement in arson and violence in the name of protest against the Citizenship Amendment Act passed by Parliament. Protestors damaged property and set fire to several buses and other vehicles during an anti-CAA protest show at Seempuri in North East Delhi recently.

Police officials also revealed that of the five arrested two are Bangladeshi nationals, while two other arrested have come all the way from Uttar Pradesh.
The two Bangladeshi nationals have been identified as Mohammad Azad and Mohammad Subhan. The accused have been identified as Ghaziabad resident Mohammad Shoiab (19), Pilibhit resident Mohammad Amir (24) and Seemapuri resident Yusuf (40). 
Police have also detained two juveniles in connection with the case and the two have been sent to the Juvenile Justice Board.
A Special Investigating Team (SIT) of Delhi Police had earlier said that illegal Bangladeshi immigrants were involved in the violence that erupted in East Delhi's Seemapuri and Seelampur areas few days ago.
At 15 Bangladeshi infiltrators were identified by SIT who were involved in causing damage to public properties during anti-CAA stir in Seemapuri.
JNU students block police flag march
A day after widespread violence and vandalism inside the JNU campus, students today blocked a police flag march, shouting 'Delhi Police, go back.'  A video in which a large number of JNU students can be seen shouting 'Delhi Police, go back' and blocking a police flag march led by Special Commissioner of Police, (Law and Order), RS Krishnaiah after the violence.
The students blocked the police path at the Sabarmati T-point. However, the police managed to dodge the students' blockade and continued to march towards the convention centre. But even before they could cover some distance, the flag march was once again blocked by the protesting students.
