Weekender Kids promotion on Disney Merchandise starts news

New Delhi: Weekender Kids, the most popular kids brand in India from Personality Ltd, has announced an exciting promotion on its Disney Merchandise at all its exclusive outlets across the country.

During this promotion, a customer who purchases any Disney merchandise will be eligible to participate for the Disney Fashion Show being held at Mumbai and walk away with exciting prizes. The promotion is being held at all Weekender Kids outlets till 8 April 2003.

Says Personality Ltd CEO and President Govind Mirchandani: “Since the launch of Toonworld, our retail concept featuring the popular Toon characters, we have had an overwhelming response from our customers. Disney merchandise featuring Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Goofy are the favourite among our customers. This promotion will provide an opportunity for the kids to showcase their talent by associating themselves with their favourite Toon character. We believe that this would provide an enjoyable experience for both the parents and the kids.”

During this promotion, a customer will complete an entry form and drop it at Weekender store before 8 April. The selected participants will be short-listed for a local fashion show and eight winners across will then be flown to Mumbai from each city for the Disney Cool Kids Fashion Show on 25 April. The lucky kids will get an opportunity to walk on the ramp and showcase the 2003 Disney Spring Summer Collection Line.

Weekender Kids, launched in 1992 is an exclusive kidswear brand targeted at two-12-year-olds. The brand offers trendy kidswear and is currently available across the country in over 40 exclusive stores and premier multi-brand outlets. Toonworld is a retail concept launched in October 2002 and targeted at boys and girls between two and 12 years and consists of apparel and accessories featuring popular cartoon characters such as Tom & Jerry, Mickey & Minnie, Bugs & Daffy and Donald & Daisy.

The Toonworld apparel and accessories are available at Toonworld corners in all Weekender stores, premier departmental stores such as Shoppers Stop, Pantaloons, Ebony and Pyramid and leading multi-brand outlets. The company sells approximately 1 million Weekender and Weekender Kids garments a year valued at Rs 40 crore.
