LG announces Onam festive offer on 'My PCs'

Hyderabad: LG Electronics India has launched a host of attractive scheme on the eve of Onam festival.

Under the scheme, LG is offering a zero per cent finance scheme on its 'My PC' range of computers and free educational CD's containing the science and mathematics curriculum sixth to twelfth standards on select PC models, and other freebies. The scheme is applicable from August 1, 2005, to September 30, 2005.

The company feels education is one of the best assets parents can gift their childrentop enable them to rise to higher levels in life.

Recent studies have revealed that a home PC is the fifth most important purchase in Indian households at present up from the seventh slot a few years ago. This is primarily due to the importance attached to a child's education.

According to R Manikandan, general manager, sales and marketing (IT products), LGEIL, "Onam is a festival which brings a lot of joy and happiness and is associated with a lot of spending. Through this offer LG wants spending to translate into a long-term investment for the benefit of children in terms of acquiring knowledge and ideas."
