UK-based retailer, Tesco was caught in the storm yet again with customers flocking its stores in Scotland to make the most of an erroneous price slash on beer and cider.

The retailer, who recently had to roll back its price guarantee in UK after customers cashed in, was offering a deal wherein three boxes of various beer and cider brands were to be available for £20 but were going through the tills for £11 due to a computer glitch.

The deal was actually supposed to be: ''buy three boxes of beer and save £11''.

Instead, due to the error, customers were able to buy boxes of up to 45 small bottles of lager or 36 cans for £11.

Accordingly, some cans of beer were selling for just 24p a bottle or 31p for a can when premium brands such as Stella, which was included under the deal, usually sells for £1 a can.

Other brands under the offer included Magners, Budweiser and Guinness.
