Starcom MediaVest Group unveils Navia Asia's OOH sibling Vector

Starcom MediaVest Group (SMG) has launched its new OOH arm Vector, which will be run independently alongside Navia Asia, the main OOH arm of SMG. 

Explaining the rationale for a second OOh agency, Ravi Kiran, CEO-South Asia, Starcom MediaVest Group said that the out-of-home industry was begining to recover after a difficult year.

He said that despite the downturn, Navia Asia had continued to grow at a steady pace, which  had weighed in favour of creating the second unit, "with its own vision, leadership and operating processes."

Kiran said, the two agencies would collaborate in areas such as customisation of application of new OOH displays, production technologies, and development and licensing of IP-based ideas.

Starcom MediaVest Group (SMG) is one of the world's largest and most celebrated brand communications and consumer contact organisations.

The new venture will be headed by Sriram Iyer as COO while Sanjay Shah would be the CEO of both Navia Asia and Vector.

The Mumbai-headquartered company will operate across all metros, and has already  roped in two clients.
