Social networking site Ibibo.com has launched iBeachBody, an online modelling contest that will select 12 young women who will appear in the Ibibo Swim Suit Calendar 2010.

According to the company, girls above 18 years of age can participate in the contest by uploading a minimum of two pictures -- one close-up and the other full length -- and completing their profile on Ibibo.com. Last date for entries is 31 October, 2009.

The contest participants will be judged and shot by six fashion photographers -- Anirban Brahma, Danish Hussain, Jatin Singh, Kaustav Saikia, Keeny Newton and Raj Chaturvedi. Each fashion photographer will shoot two selected participants. The Ibibo community will vote for the iBeachBody contestants and the most popular contestant will also have her portfolio shot by one of the six fashion photographers.

Ibibo.com plans to launch the calendar by the first week of January 2010 and distribute them among its members who will be shortlisted by the company on various criteria, including their usage patterns.

According to Vivek Bahl, associate vice president, marketing, Ibibo.com, ''This is an exclusive platform specifically designed to give young women a stepping stone into the world of modelling. We have seen great response from our iFreshFace contest where young girls have opportunities to make their career in modelling.''
