Ogilvy announces ARF awards for excellence

The Advertising Research Foundation (ARF) David Ogilvy Awards for Excellence in Advertising Research 2010 competition has called for entries. The competition is open to top advertisers, research companies and advertising agencies in the world.

The Awards annually celebrate the critical role of research in creating powerful advertising campaigns.

Named after advertising legend David Ogilvy, The ARF David Ogilvy Awards recognize his spirited advocacy of research in making good advertising better.

Winning an ARF David Ogilvy Award provides tangible proof of industry leadership in developing and leveraging consumer insights. Entries in the ARF David Ogilvy Awards are judged on the role that research played in a campaign's - business objective; marketing strategy; campaign development; execution and; business results.

The 2009 winning campaigns showcased excellent use of research techniques and utilized sophisticated tools of market research in their pursuit to produce effective advertising campaigns that ultimately separated themselves from the industry as a whole. In each of these cases, the winners often confronted unusual or significant business challenges and in response, conducted creative research that yielded inspiring results.
