Woman-led start-up develops ‘Divya Drishti’, a versatile AI tool for personal identification

Ingenious Research Solutions Pvt Ltd, a start-up established by woman entrepreneur, Dr Shivani Verma, has successfully developed an AI tool `Divya Drishti` that integrates face recognition with immutable physiological parameters such as gait and skeleton.

Shivani Verma had won a pan India theme-based `Dare to Dream’ innovation contest 2.0, organised by the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) for the development of `Divya Drishti.`

`Divya Drishti` an AI tool that integrates face recognition with immutable physiological parameters such as gait and skeleton – which marks a significant advancement in biometric authentication technology, offering enhanced accuracy and reliability in identifying individuals.

By combining facial recognition with gait analysis, `Divya Drishti` enhances the accuracy of identification, and minimises the risk of false positives or identity fraud, thereby creating a robust and multifaceted authentication system. 

This versatile AI personal identification tool will have applications across diverse sectors, including defence, law enforcement, corporate and public infrastructure.

“Divya Drishti” has been developed under the technical guidance and mentoring by Bangalore-based DRDO laboratory, Centre for Artificial Intelligence & Robotics (CAIR).

Secretary, Department of Defence R&D and chairman of DRDO, Samir V Kamat, congratulated the startup as well as team DRDO for success in promoting startups in defence and aerospace industry.
