13 January 2016
Capgemini, a global provider of consulting, technology and outsourcing services, has appointed Srinivas Kandula as the CEO of Capgemini in India, effective from 1 January 2016. Kandula also joins the Capgemini Group Executive Committee.
Kandula replaces Aruna Jayanthi, who moves to a global role within the group.
Kandula played a key role in the acquisition of Patni by IGATE in 2011 and of IGATE by Capgemini in 2015. He has also spearheaded both integration processes.
''Since the acquisition of IGATE, India has become even more strategic to our global business roadmap. Srini's rich and diverse experience across key business functions, notably at IGATE, will help Capgemini in India to play an enhanced role in the Group's future growth plans,'' said Paul Hermelin, group chairman and CEO of Capgemini.
Capgemini in India has more than 87,000 employees, which is nearly 50 per cent of the group, and caters to over 800 customers globally.
Kandula has over 25 years of experience in business management strategy and practice. He joined IGATE in 2007, where he was executive vice president, member of the executive council and chief people officer, responsible for driving IGATE's Business Strategy, Human Resources, Quality Management and Marketing portfolios globally.
He has been associated with various industry and professional bodies such as NASSCOM, Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and Indo-American Chamber of Commerce for several years now.
