The government has signalled it might reconsider its hardline stance in the stand-off with former ISRO scientists. CNN-IBN, quoting sources, said the government would soon speak to Madhavan Nair and the other three former ISRO scientists.

The government had earlier this month barred Nair and three other senior space scientists from all current and future government jobs over their role in leasing out bulk transponders on two satellites for launch of digital multimedia services to Devas. The government was, in fact, expected to speak to the banned scientists to get their version; and the report, citing unnamed sources, said immediate revocation of the decision to ban the scientists from government jobs may not happen but it could not be ruled out.

However, according to Madhavan Nair, he had not heard anything directly from the government yet.

He said, he had only media inputs on the issue and certainly if government asked him for any clarification, he would be happy to give the factual information on the whole issue. He said he had not heard anything directly. He added it was very strange that he was not getting any direct communication from the government on the whole issue.

All of them believed that nothing wrong had happened in 2005-2006 as far as the Antrix-Devas deal is concerned he said while talking to CNN-IBN.
