Standard Chartered appoints Sandeep Das as private banking head, India
21 June 2011
Standard Chartered on Monday said it has appointed Sandeep Das as head of its private banking business in India.
Das, who has been with the UK-based bank since 1991, takes over from Soumya Rajan, who left the bank last month.
Previously, Das handled the consumer banking business in India and was the general manager of Standard Chartered's premium banking services.
The bank has seen a spate of changes in its top management lately. It had appointed Sanjeeb Chaudhuri as regional head of South Asia and group chief marketing office for consumer banking earlier this year.
Standard Chartered had also named Saurabh Agarwal as the corporate finance head for the bank's India operations recently.
