Mahesh Krishnan joins Samsung India as vice president and business head, home appliances

Samsung India has appointed Mahesh Krishnan as vice president and business head for its home appliances business.
He joins from Philips Electronics where he was the vice president and sales organisation leader.
In his new role, Krishnan will be responsible for managing the sales and marketing of Samsung's home appliances portfolio that comprises of refrigerators, air conditioners, washing machines and microwave ovens.
He will also be responsible for spearheading the modern retail function with the consumer electronics division of the company, and will report to Ravinder Zutshi, deputy managing director, Samsung India.
Krishnan has handled various sales and marketing roles during his career spanning over 21 years.
An IIM-Bangalore alumnus, Krishnan commenced his career with TVS Whirlpool Ltd in 1989. He has worked with brands such as ITC Limited, General Mills and Goodyear in senior roles across various sales and marketing functions.
