Nitin Vaidya bids adieu to Zee

Nitin Vaidya, COO, Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited (ZEEL) and business head, Zee TV has ended his decade-long association with Zee to look at avenues outside the group.
Zee is not looking at an immediate replacement for Vaidya, and his direct reports will now report to Punit Goenka, CEO, ZEEL.
Vaidya was elevated from director, regional channels, Zee Group to the COO in 2008, thereby taking responsibility for the Group's national channels like Zee TV, Zee Cinema, Jagran, Zee Muzic and Cafe Trendz amongst others.
During his tenure with Zee, Vaidya had spearheaded the Group's expansion into regional channels by launching Zee Marathi, Zee Talkies and Zee Bangla.
He also helped set up the film production and distribution business in Marathi.
Vaidya had started his career with the Sakal Group as reporter and grew to become the chief executive at the state and national levels.
