A R Barwe passes away

Eminent banker Aniruddha R Barwe, a respected name in the Indian financial services sector, passed away on 5 October 2010.
Barwe was 72.
Among the positions held by him during his career were deputy managing director, State Bank of India; managing director at SBI Capital Markets and CFO at IDFC.
He was on the Board of several large organizations like Jain Irrigation, Kotak Mahindra Trustee Company Ltd., Gujarat Borosil Ltd., Zenith Birla (India) Ltd., IFCI Financial Services Ltd., Kotak Mahindra New Pension Fund Scheme Ltd.
