India chapter, IAA finds new president in Reliance Industries’ Kaushik Roy

Kaushik Roy, president of brand strategy and marketing communication, Reliance Industries has been elected the new president of the India chapter of International Advertising Association(IAA) for the year 2010-2011.

The decision was reached at the association's annual general meeting held on 27 August, 2010.

Roy had shifted to Reliance from Mudra Communications in 2003.

He was the vice president of the association for the past two years and succeeds Raj Nayak, founder of Aidem Ventures and ex-media head, NDTV, who will continue as the ex-officio member.

Lynn de Souza, chairperson and chief executive officer of Lintas Media Group is the new vice president after holding the position of honorary secretary for two years.

Srinivasan K Swamy, chairperson and managing director, RK Swamy BBDO as the honorary secretary and Ramesh Narayan, founder, Canco Advertising, as the honorary treasurer complete the managing committee.
