RC Venkateish puts in papers at ESPN Star Sports

RC Venkateish has stepped down as managing director, ESPN Star Sports, after a seven-year stint with the network.

Venkateish joined the group as managing director of ESPN Software India in 2003.

He looked after the distribution, sales and marketing of ESPN and Star Sports for the south Asia region.

Venkatesh, who started his career as a management trainee with SmithKline Beecham, India, has worked with Kellogg's in India and Japan, Oral-B Laboratories, Gillette and Nestle India in management positions.

He is a post-graduate from IIM-Calcutta and a B-Tech degree-holder from IIT-Chennai.

Vijay Rajput, COO at ESPN Star Sports India, will handle his duties till a replacement is found.
