Citi India appoints Keshav Sanghi as head of equities

Mumbai: Citi has appointed Keshav Sanghi as head of the India Equities, reporting to V Srikanth, head of markets South Asia in the India, and regionally to Adrian Faure, head of equities Asia Pacific. Additionally, he will continue to report to John Jacobson, head of equity sales Asia Pacific for the growth and development of the sales organisation.

Sanghi had joined Citi in January 2010 as head of sales and deputy head of equities for the Indian business.

Prior to joining Citi, Sanghi was CEO of Reliance Equities and prior to that was at Deutsche fro six years.

Announcing Sanghi's appointment to the media, Citi said in a statement, "Keshav is one of the most experienced sell-side individuals in Indian equities, having worked in sales roles at both JP Morgan and HSBC between 1995 and 2002."

Sanghi holds a degree in Finance, from the University of Texas at Austin, USA.
