J V Ramamurthy appointed president, COO, HCL Infosystems

HCL Infosystems today announced the appointment of its COO J V Ramamurthy as president and chief operating officer.
A veteran of insider, Ramamurthy joined HCL as the regional customer engineering support manager in 1988 and went on to head the company's support services.
He played a pivotal role as the president and CEO of HCL Office Automation Ltd and subsequently took over additional responsibility as president and CEO, HCL Infinet Ltd.
Ramamurthy has been the COO opf HCL Infosystems since 2005 and is credited with having spearheaded company's growth strategy and its transformation into a system integration organisation.
An Engineer from Guindy Engineering College, Ramamurthy has a master's from Madras Institute of Technology.
