Neelam Kapoor named principal director general of PIB

Neelam Kapoor will be taking over as the next principal director general of Press Information Bureau (PIB). She will replace Uma Kant Mishra, who retires on March 31.
Kapoor is a 1982 batch Indian Information Service officer.
Kapur, former director of Directorate of Film Festivals is currently the director general, Directorate of Audio Visual Publicity. The I&B Ministry has cleared her name.
Though sources in the I&B Ministry said that her name had been finalised for the post of Principal Director General of PIB, the apex agency of the Government to project its programmes and policies.
