Lloyd Mathias joins Tata Teleservices as marketing chief

Tata Teleservices Limited has named Lloyd Mathias as chief marketing officer. Mathias will be based in Mumbai and will report to Anil Sardana, managing director.
An evangelist in marketing and sales, Mathias was named by Internationalist magazine as one of the 15 international marketeers of the year for developing campaigns that had a cross-cultural impact in 2006.
Mathias has a proven track record in sales and marketing, having been directly responsible for the success of some of brands in India like Motorola, PepsiCo Beverages, UB Spirits and Onida. Prior to joining TTSL, he was working with Motorola Inc. as senior director, sales and distribution.
Mathias will lead the marketing function end-to-end in terms of defining and executing corporate strategic initiatives for brand Tata Indicom. A 20-year marketing veteran, Mathias will manage various marketing functions like product strategy, product management, supply chain, business development, alliances, branding and customer programmes pan India.
