Sanjaya Gupta appointed MD, PNB housing finance

The board members of PNB Housing Finance appointed Sanjaya Gupta as MD, PNB housing finance.
Gupta, an industry veteran, has 23 years of experience in retail mortgages and allied products like mortgage guarantee.
He has worked with HDFC Ltd for 16 years developing and managing new business territories.
Gupta was the business head of retail mortgages for India and head, global mortgage operations with ABN AMRO Bank NV. After the sale of ABN AMRO NV, he was appointed as the CEO of AIG United Guaranty where he spearheaded a PPP project on mortgage guaranty, between AIG Inc. NHB, IFC & ADB.
He also co-founded a micro housing finance company which is operating in the state of Rajasthan.
PNB Housing Finance Limited is the subsidiary of Punjab National Bank, in partnership with Destimoney under Public Private Partnership programme.
Destimoney had acquired a 26 per cent stake in PNB Housing Finance Ltd, which has been raised to 49 per cent now.
