Bloom Energy appoints Girish S Paranjpe as MD

Bangalore: Silicon Valley-based provider of solid oxide fuel cell technology for producing affordable, clean onsite power, Bloom Energy, today said that Girish S. Paranjpe will head Bloom Energy International as managing director. Paranjpe will report to KR Sridhar, principal co-founder and CEO.

Paranjpe, who was earlier the co-chief executive officer of Wipro's IT business and an executive director on the Board of Wipro Limited, will be responsible for developing the global market for Bloom Energy's presence beyond the US. 

Paranjpe will also be responsible for developing partnersahips with energy industry innovators and infrastructure providers.

A fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and the Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India, Paranjpe represented Wipro and the IT Industry in various public forums including the Prime Minister's Task Force on Information Technology.
